DEPARTMENT OF STREET LIGHTING PROVIDES THREE STREET LIGHTS AT GATEWAY SITE UNDER SPECIAL CITY PROGRAM

 

The Bureau of Street Lighting has entered into agreement with the Yucca Corridor Coalition to provide three street lights at the site of the Gateway To Hollywood project under the City’s Bus Stop Street Lighting Program.  Installation of these lights at the corners of Franklin Avenue and Cahuenga Boulevard, the additional lighting will provide a greater sense of safety and security for commuters utilizing MTA services. 

 

The design of the lights will compliment the architectural scheme of the Gateway To Hollywood project, and enhance the beauty of the site with esthetically pleasant ambience.

 

Plans are underway to negotiate with MTA and CRA for an additional five lights, bringing the total to eight, that will surround the Gateway triangle.
