RESULTS
Upon completion, the Gateway To Hollywood will provide an esthetically pleasing entree to the Entertainment Capitol of the World from the North. It will announce to commuters and travelers alike that Hollywood is proud to welcome them with something less than an industrial facade entrance, replete with signage, drab buildings, and an absence of character.
Second,. it will provide residents and visitors alike a plaza in which they will feel welcome, comfortable, and safe.
Finally, it will be the Hallmark of a cooperative Partnership between Community, Government, Business, and Foundations that will serve as a model for other endeavors throughout the City, and the Nation.
EVALUATION
Prior to, during, and at the completion of the Hollywood Gateway, YCC will conduct community meetings with those directly impacted, as well as business interests and developers who will benefit from this project once it is completed.
Meetings are designed to allow and encourage maximum input to accommodate the vision and identified needs of all those affected.
During the construction phase, meetings will be held with the various City agencies involved, as well as Hollywood community leadership to assess
the progress and to make any revision as may be required.
Upon completion, pedestrian traffic surveys will be conducted to ascertain the increase of resident and/or visitor use of the site. Traffic surveys will also be conducted by the Department of Transportation to determine if any existing traffic patterns need modification.
