YCC GATEWAY TO HOLLYWOOD

SCHEDULES GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY

MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2000 - 10:00 AM

YUCCA CORRIDOR COALITION OF PROPERTY OWNERS AND MANAGERS President, Merle M. Singer, announced that there will be a groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the planned GATEWAY TO HOLLYWOOD.

The groundbreaking will be held on October 2, 2000 at 10:00 AM at the site of the proposed park-plaza to be known as the YCC GATEWAY TO HOLLYWOOD, at FRANKLIN AVENUE and CAHUENGA BOULEVARD.

Joining her will be City officials and representatives of the entertainment industry, community leaders, and residents of the area. The festivities will feature the Hollywood High School Marching Band, and the colors will be presented by the Hollywood High School ROTC Color Guard.

The YCC GATEWAY TO HOLLYWOOD PLAZA will stand at the northwest corner of Franklin Avenue and Cahuenga Boulevard and will serve as a local icon for visitors and travelers exiting the freeway and driving into the Hollywood Corridor.
